Variativity is characteristic of all levels of the language at all stages of its development. However, in the Norwegian language, an intrinsic feature of the language situation is its extreme variability.The article discusses the characteristic features of this situation, as well asa teaching strategy is proposed that would allow students to familiarize themselves with the main manifestations of variability in Norwegian, and at the same time, help them master a really existing, but unofficial version of the norm.
