The article is dedicated to the research of the possibilities in use of the quantitative analytical methods during the implementation of the economic policy of the government. The author explorers the opportunities and contingencies in application of the methods of mathematical programming and econometric methods in the practice of the economical activity. The results, achieved on this part both in Russia and in the other countries of the world, a critically analyzed.
