The purpose of the proposed article is to evaluate the results of scientific research, reflected in scientific journals and their approbation as the self-presentation of a young scientist and verification of the social significance of the results achieved. Presents the results of the analysis of the degree of compliance with the established requirements for the mandatory three publications by random sampling, where 50 master’s theses were selected, of which in only 4 cases the number of publications was limited to the required minimum of three scientific articles (8%); with four to five articles, 30% of applicants came to the defense; another 34% of young scientists managed to publish up to ten scientific papers, and four (8%) had twelve or even thirteen scientific articles among them. The presented analysis is of practical importance for the organization of science, members of dissertation councils and those interested in the problems of training scientific personnel.
