This paper presents problems in the field of social work with migrants and the adaptation of migrants in the host community in the post-Soviet period as a result of the dismantling of the Soviet Union. The authors identified the main problems and features of social adaptation and integration of migrants into Russian society. The article highlights the key practices of social work with migrants on social adaptation, including the digital means of communication, which are used by state and non-profit organizations.
