The article focuses on some peculiarities of text syntactic structure, which facilitate rhythm changes in contemporary Russian prose. Prosaic text becomes an intermediating phenomenon in conditions of screen culture, and interpretation of textual meanings require from the reader certain skills of working with audiovisual sources of information. Rhythm structure of contemporary prosaic text directs a reader to particularly meaningful part of a text.
