Introduction. Work in the information space today is one of the main activity areas of the Armed Forces of any country. The Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundeswehr) are no exception in this respect. They issue a number of printed publications dedicated to vital matters of the army operation. Objective. In this article an attempt was made to develop an idea of the place and role of the print media in the context of the political and awareness-raising work carried out by Bundeswehr. Materials and Methods. The main print media issued by the German Armed Forces, namely “Y” and “Bundeswehr Aktuell”, are considered in this article with simultaneous addressing the other periodicals associated with the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Germany.
