The article touches upon peculiarities of teaching the course «The world religions’ languages in the world politics context» to graduate students of the program «English language in the sphere of international relationsThe author of the article views this academic course as a complicated one because it combines different branches of science, it is difficult to structuralize and for the reason that the religion is a vulnerable and private sphere for discussion for most people.In the article the attention is placed on the interaction of religion and language. Focusing on communicative function of language the author underlines interconnection and interdependence of language and power.The next essential idea that inevitably attracts in the course of Religions’ Languages is religious identity. Playing the important role in forming social identity of a person religious identity leads to religious worldview.Finally, the author draws attention to Islam and peculiarities of Islam and Arab language studies. Namely, the article reveals the interconnection of religion and language but not religion as an object of theology.
