The article deals with issues of protection of medical information in the context of transition to digital healthcare in Russia, as well as with related problems of unathorised access to digital data and lack of legal regulation. The authors suggest that the current Criminal Code be amended to include a special article, which would guarantee the protection of data about citizens’ health in the context of building digital healthcare.
