The article deals with the process of identification, recognition of an integral image on the basis of the visible part of the object. We investigate oculomotor activity in a distorted picture of the world. The technology of eye tracking (oculography), which allows to obtain data on the oculomotor activity of the test: visual routes, time of fixation of the look on the experimental object, in the form of «heat maps». On the basis of the results of the experiment conducted with the involvement of the oculography, the features of the behavior of the subject when working with the proposed experimental material in the form of images with impaired semantic and visual relationships are presented.
