India is interested in gaining research experience from such an arctic country as Russia, and Moscow benefits from cooperation with India, since additional funding is needed for projects, such as hydrocarbon deposits. Russia is “unfolding” in the direction of Asia; it is seeking allies and support for itself in this region. The Arctic region may well become a bridge for future cooperation between Russia and India, covering both economic, scientific, and political interests.
