The article contains an analysis of the concepts of «anxiety» and «self-esteem», presents the results of experimental work with children of early adolescence on the basis of the methods «Shkala iavnoi trevozhnosti» – CMAS (A.M.Prikhozhan), «Izuchenie samootsenki lichnosti» (S.V.Kovalev) and a correction and developmental program aimed at reducing the level of anxiety. On the basis of the data obtained, the correlation between the level of anxiety and self-esteem was revealed.
