The questions of the formation and development of the green rate of economic growth are considered, its connection with sustainable development is substantiated. Using the example of medical tourism in St. Petersburg, the directions of activating the efficiency factors of activities that do not have a serious negative impact on natural assets and the environment are disclosed.
