The report aims at eliciting main tendencies in the development of literary, philosophical and linguistic theories, their overlapping common grounds and vectors of further growth and change. Contemporary literary theories are viewed through the prism of linguistic studies and studies in the sphere of language philosophy which allows to draw conclusions about main changes, including that in the theory of sign.
