The article describes the means to express passivity in the Middle English poem “Sir Orfeo” from the viewpoint of their categoriality/non-categoriality. The author enumerates the basic models to describe passivity and examines morphological and semantic means used in the poem to transfer passive relations. The paper also analyzes the usage of the mentioned forms from the viewpoint of their frequency and the ability to express an action or a state.
