In this review the monograph of N.V. Kulibina Methods of teaching reading literary texts is analyzed. It considers the philological, psychological and psycholinguistic foundations of teaching reading literary texts, the methodological concept of N.V. Kulibina and its implementation in the didactic materials. The monograph covers all the most significant aspects of the methodology of teaching reading literary texts. It will occupy a worthy place among modern methodological works.
