The article notes, the main problem of the development of the methodological approaches to the study of social capital in organizations is the justification of its role in enhancing the efficiency and productivity of the Organization's activities. Definition are presented of “social capital”, there are two methodological approach to the analysis of social capital organization: socio-psychological approach based on social exchange theory and sociological approach to the analysis of social networks.
