The article highlights modern audio formats (audiobooks and podcasts) and their usage for integrated reading and listening skills development in non-linguistic pedagogical institutions. The technological characteristics and pedagogical potential of the audio formats are described as well as the organization of work with audiobooks and podcasts. The surveyresults of 83 university students provide the information about their experience of interacting with audiobooks and podcasts. Based onthe students' preferences, the list of audio resources for classwork and independent usage was designed.
