Nowadays, a lot of cities and countries are faced with the problem of outflow of residents, especially the problem of the qualified personnel's departure, “brain drain”. This article discusses the significance and relevance of the introduction into the scientific circulation concept of “resident brand”. We consider the main approaches to the promotion of territories and what is the position of resident branding in this typology. the paper examines two indexes that assess the position of the territory in the context of creativity.
