The idiosyncratic articulation of rhetorical questions in interviews text makes it difficult for foreign students –of Russian language –to comprehend its meanings. This article conceptualizes rhetorical questions as ‘indirect-speech-of-act’ and discuss ways to interpret the equivocal meaning clearly.
