It is given an objective analysis of the current state of the methodological crisis of world psychology. On the basis of current discussions, it is concluded that there is a number of issues that are not paid attention to, but are of high importance and can predict the development of Russian psychology in the context of the world psychology. These are issues such as problems of research replications, statistical inference, preparatory stage of articles publication, etc. It is necessary to increase the statistical literacy of the psychological community in order to preserve the possibility to remain in the mainstream of the world psychological science.
