The article deals with the phenomenon of communicative transgression, analyzes approaches that reveal signs of extremist discourse. Traditional and social media of extremist orientation often implement strategies to overcome social prohibitions, cultural traditions, moral norms, impose «absolute negativity», use the concepts of ecstasy, madness, orgasm and death. In the extremist discourse, the limits of the applicability of linguistic means are violated, informal vocabulary is used.
