The article deals with the market of mass open online courses in accounting and financial disciplines in leading Universities of the world. Currently, the higher education system is undergoing significant changes. One of the key points is the development of e-education, which has significantly simplified the remote acquisition of knowledge. The driver of this development was massive open online courses (MOOCs). As for their topics, online courses in financial and accounting specialties are one of the priorities for many students, so it is important to understand whether enough topics are disclosed within these courses. At the beginning of the article, we analyzed online platforms and revealed the concept of MOOC. Then we considered quantity of financial courses on these platforms. In conclusion, it was determined that MOOCs in the current pandemic situation received a strong push for development. They create an environment for distance learning, but most of them are mainly introductory in nature.
