The author outlines the social and psychological problems arising in modern
postindustrial (informational) society. One of the key is the problem of labor/work
and fulfillment of a person. Attitude towards the modern man as the basis of a
strategy for resolving his problems in Western and Eastern Christianity is considered taking into account the growing importance of secularization and the changing role of the church as a stabilizing social factor.
