The Subject of this article is the problem of implementing the cognitive method in teaching foreign languages, and in particular German, considered from the point of view of the methodological aspect. The features of verbalization of the language picture of the world by native German speakers are discussed, which makes it possible to clearly show the mechanisms of deployment of cognitive models of discourse. "Deep" immersion in the language reality and multidimensional understanding of the material being studied allows you to get a more complete picture of the language being studied.
