The article discusses and summarizes the main directions of the assessment of the personnel of organizations that have developed in our country so far. The approach of professional quality, competence, functional approach and Assessment center as a method of modeling and integrated assessment of personnel is analyzed. Discusses the contribution of Russian researchers to the development of the key ideas of evaluation of personnel. The basis of the integrated staff assessment was laid in our country some 50 years ago and contained all the necessary conceptual components.
