The article analyzes the approach of J.L. Borges to the study of the concept of time. Some of the author's works are revealed, in which the theme of time is pedaled and Borges's attitude to the stated problem is formed. Particular attention is paid to the summarizing work on this topic - the lecture 'Time". In the course of the study, his approach is formulated, which we call "pedagogical": at a late stage of his work, Borges does not formulate his own theory that can explain the nature of time, but offers the reader a wide panorama of the concepts of other writers, scientists, theologians and philosophers, leaving the reader the right to further reasoning and research. Borges focuses on posing a question, not on a ready-made answer - this principle underlies his pedagogical approach, not only in relation to the analysis of the concept of time, but also in relation to many of the key issues that Borges illuminates.
