The article is devoted to assessing the digital maturity of companies from the standpoint of archetypal
and instrumental approaches. As part of the first approach, the phenomenon of the digital archetype is
considered. The instrumental approach is demonstrated by the example of a research of the digital maturity
of insurers conducted by the analytical agency SDI360o. The interconnection between the indicators of
digital maturity of insurers and their economic indicators is established.
