The article examines the determinants of Russia's intra-industry trade with the twenty largest trading partners grouped into developed economies, developing countries and CIS states. Such factors of intra-industry exchange as GDP, GDP per capita, level of technological development, tariff and non-tariff barriers, geographic and cultural-linguistic proximity, and price competitiveness of products are considered.
It is shown that the bulk of Russia's intra-industry trade falls on the CIS countries. The share of intraindustry exchange in trade with the CIS countries is several times higher than the corresponding indicator for other groups of Russia's foreign trade partners. The main determinants of intensive intra-industry trade
with this group of partners are geographical, cultural and linguistic proximity, belonging in the past to a single national economic complex, as well as the development of integration processes within the EAEU.
