title = "Уголовная ответственность организаторов спортивных мероприятий",
abstract = "The article analyzes the problem of the responsibility of the sporting events' organizers in the context of ensuring the participants, spectators, referees, and others' safety. The first part of the article outlines the introductory provisions and the most common types of violations that occur during sporting events and for which Russian legislation imposes responsibility on the organizers. The main part is divided into two big blocks. The first block discusses violations that can lead to bodily or mortal bodily harm of participants in sports events (sportsman, fan, judge, volunteer, etc.). The classification of violations committed by the organizers was carried out while studying the rules of the relevant sport in conjunction with real cases of bodily and mortal bodily harm at sporting events. The second block analyzes the provisions of Russian administrative and criminal legislation in order to identify the norms providing for the possibility of holding organizers responsible. The authors conclude that the organizers may be prosecuted under the Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (the provision of unsafe services). As the results of the study, it was formulated a conclusion about the absence of a gap in the legal regulation in Russia, the most abundant violations in sporting events' organization with the result of bodily harm of the participants are itemized and the circumstances that should be established in order to bring to justice the sporting events' organizers under the Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation were pointed out.",
