The growing role of information technology tools in society creates the need to study their impact on the family and the health of the child, and the characteristics of the information culture of the modern family. This explains the study of the constructs of family information culture, which was conducted among 131 adolescents 12-17 years old. The Internet is a key means of obtaining information in families, teenagers use it for communication, study and entertainment. Teenagers are totally immersed in the Internet, accept it and trust the information in it. The average age of the beginning of independent use of gadgets is 8-9 years; from 5-6 years old parents offer their child a gadget for viewing educational videos, games and cartoons. The most common family information in the surveyed sample is news, entertainment, and scientific. The study of the components of family information culture is necessary for the creation of preventive programs of gadget-dependent behavior, and the creation of information culture in families reveals the preventive potential of the family.
