This paper presents a study of oriental manuscripts. The study focuses on thelife of famous scholar az-Zamahshari and one of his most important writings,“Atwaq az-zahab”, or “Golden Necklaces of Exhortations and Sermons”.Az-Zamahshari’s work is analyzed from the point of view of style and grammar.Three different copies of the manuscript are compared, two of which come from the collection of the Oriental Department of Gorky Research Library ofSt Petersburg State University and one from the collection of the Institute ofOriental Manuscripts of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
