The article deals with the imagery of bush in Alexander Kushner's poetic book «The shrub». The imagery, while characterizing Kushner's poetics as a whole as the poetics of the day-to-day, performs at the same time the function of the fence between the life and the oblivion, refers to the Biblical image of the Burning bush.
