The article deals with the problem of teaching mediation in a broad sense. Different formats of transferring knowledge about mediation, necessary for its development and gaining authority by mediation as an effective method of conflict resolution, are analyzed. This makes the task of teaching mediation multidimensional, beginning with effective educational activities, minimum training of potential users of mediation services, specialized training of organizers of mediator-friendly soil in various fields and ending with providing high quality mediator training. The relevance of this consideration of the topic is that due to the obvious importance and special responsibility of the latter aspect - the preparation of mediators-practitioners - the remaining areas of training in mediation are usually given less attention in terms of coverage in the literature and in methodological materials. The article shows relationship between the general patterns of learning, the features of the process teaching and learning new knowledge, with the peculiarities of mediation itself as a subject of instruction and their manifestation in the cultural and social context, in certain circumstances in each specific situation, depending on the purpose and the required result of the training. The article reveals the questions concerning the problems of adaptation to the peculiarities of the people training of mediation, namely, of different ages, statuses, professional affiliation, individual value system and others. A special attention is paid to the complexity of the transformation of the installations and the importance of forming the focus from the directive approach to conflict management with using the non-directive approach. The article also discusses problems related to the teachers themselves and the format of the training. Among them, the complexity associated with the requirements for the individual and the implementation of the function of the trainer, the forms of training mediation, the technical means used in the development of media technologies, the features of training programs. The article emphasizes that the content, duration and methods of training should ensure the formation of the planned level and focus of the qualifications of the trainees in order to fulfill their assigned tasks in the development of the ability of society to deal constructively with conflicts through mediation.
