The article is devoted to the problems of inclusion of textual activity in the process of teaching Russian as a foreign language. Working with the media texts analyzed in the context of communicative and active approach to the study of a foreign language. The concept of using a media text in teaching Russian as a foreign language is Lingvodidaktichesky. The texts of the publications «Biography», «Story» represent images of real personalities. The possibility of referring to the typology of K. Vogler's images as a strategy for carrying out pretext work and organizing the post-text work stage is considered.
