The article is dedicated to the studies of Spanish phraseologisms in the sense of language cultural studies implying analysis of a language from the perspective of cultural studies and anthropology. While studying national and cultural specificity of language phraseological content the main attention is attracted to the image base of a phraseologism which is mainly represented in metaphors belonging to different cultural codes. Cultural component reflecting phraseologisms’ national and cultural uniqueness includes elements of material and spiritual culture which are attributed to a certain ethnicity, pre-scientific knowledge about the world, national symbols, references to the precedent phenomena etc. The article is focused on the Spanish phraseologisms which form national worldview and belong to the anthropic, somatic, gastronomical, musical codes of culture and on the phraseologisms created on the base of Spanish precedent names and texts.The analyzed phraseologisms are also the formators of different evaluating meanings including general and particular evaluations which helps to expose evaluation priorities of Spanish language conscience.
