For studying the peculiarities of mutual perception in married couple, we conducted examining the relationship between marriage satisfaction. The study involved 36 couples. From the answers for each subject, two “portraits” were compiled. The connection between satisfaction with marriage and the closeness of mutual
ideas was revealed: the smaller the perception error, the higher the level of satisfaction with marriage, for both women and men. The hypothesis of a decrease in the level of perception error over time was confirmed. Thus, the proximity of mutual representations is an indicator of the level of satisfaction with marriage.
