The doctrine of gaullism can be traced back to 18 June 1940 the day when the general de Gaulle delivered an address to the nation for the first time. De Gaulle succeeded to unite the war-torn country, become the founder of a unique political doctrine called gullism and establish the V Republic that is still in place.
