Linguistic investigations, especially in recent years, indicate that existence of the invariant meaning is considered acceptable as it is expected to facilitate concepts perception. Linguistic invariants include abstract components as a result of interpretation of the words on a new, higher level of generalization. The functioning of lexical invariants is demonstrated by the component analysis of a polysemous word “key”.
