Short-term variations of aerosol backscatter profiles are analyzed in dependence on the variations of solar activity. It is shown that a peak of an aerosol backscatter profile at altitude about 10 kilometers after a solar proton event becomes thicker and backscatter coefficients increase. We draw the conclusion that the solar activity can be an additional factor which affects the variations of the optical properties of aerosols.
