The high scientific potential of the idea of a relation as a unit of psychological analysis created by V.N. Myasishchev is confirmed by the holistic approach to the problem of personality, its disorders and psychological interventions aimed at their correction. The theory of personality relations, the concept of psychological origin of neurotic disorders and the psychotherapeutic system, united by the conceptual unity, is a unique approach in domestic psychology, which fills the lack of a clear theoretical grounding in psychotherapeutic prac-tice. The article attempts to examine the content of V.N. Myasishchev’s pathogenetic neurosis concept and psychotherapy in connection with the psychology of relations.
