The processes of generating electrohydrodynamic flows was investigated in order to obtain information regarding the formation of charged structures around electrodes, as well as the inter-relationship between the current and kinematic characteristics of the system. For the purposes of undertaking this investigation, the authors developed and put together a high-voltage special-form signal source. Electrohydrodynamic flow was developed from the region around the electrode with a delay time relative to the instant at which the voltage was applied. As a result of these studies it was established that there exists an a periodic discrete nature to the disruption of electrohydrodynamic stability in the near-electrode regions, and that this takes place with some delay relative to the application of the voltage pulse.
