N2 - The article deals with the problem of leadership as the ability to influence people and groups in theorganization to achieve their goals. The best-known theories of leadership and concepts of modern leadershipare considered, leadership is interpreted as helping other people in their development and self-realization. Ineducation, there are at least three aspects of leadership. The first one is education of leaders as the purpose ofthe educational process in organizations; the second one is leadership as the principle of management of theleaders of these organizations; the third is the leadership of educational organizations in the market ofeducational services. The phenomenon of leadership today is relevant in all areas of public life; it is gainingpopularity in the field of education. Leadership should be considered not only with reference to the relationshipof the leader and the group, but also in relation to the person to himself (personal leadership). In education,leadership is observed in three dimensions: leadership education, leadership of management and leadership ofeducational organizations in the rankings. The difference between education and other sectors of the economyis its goal-the education of leaders, starting from the preschool level.
