The height function of the six-vertex model with the domain-wall boundary conditions in the free fermion point is computed by the Monte Carlo algorithm. The numerical results are in good agreement with the analytical expression for the limit shape height function. This paper is a "warm up" for the forthcoming one, where the two-point correlation function for the height function is calculated.
