According to Berdyaev’s metaphysics, man in the depths of his personality is in unity with the Absolute, which is understood as a continuous creative becoming (in this idea Berdyaev follows Henri Bergson). At the same time, human beings exist as part of the objectified object world, where the creative freedom of the Absolute is transformed into a sequence of moments of time that exist independently of each other. Berdyaev argues that the time of our world is a false, objectified form of absolute creativity as the main quality of the Absolute, which in the depths of his personality every human being possesses by virtue of his belonging to the Absolute.
