N2 - A boron complex with 4-bromo-2-(1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthrolin-2-yl)phenoxide ligand has been synthesized, and its photoluminescence properties in solution and in the solid phase have been examined. The structure of the complex has been determined by X-ray analysis. Non-classical intermolecular interaction (halogen bond) between the bromine and fluorine atoms has been detected in the crystal structure of the complex.
