The polymeric products prepared react with europium thenoyltrifluoroacetonate to form new carbon-chain copolymers with different ratios of organic and europium-containing units. The polymeric materials prepared were characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopy, gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry, and elemental analysis.
