N2 - Abstract: A one-pot method for the synthesis of biphenylcarboxylic acids containing 1,2,4-oxadiazole ring in the NaOH–DMSO system was developed. The results of in vitro experiments showed that the synthesized compounds exhibit antibacterial activity against susceptible strains of E. coli and S. aureus.
