The article introduces the readers to a comparative issue of the Journal on the State building challenges that affect the post-Yugoslav scenario and Ukraine as an emblematic example of the Post-Soviet transition. The article presents a broader theoretical analysis of comparative methodology and a description which methods have been applied in the issue, their reasons and the main aspects that the issue is scrutinized.
