Abstract Some properties of the Lemaitre regularization in the planar three-body problem are considered. Application of these properties to the degenerate case of a rectilinear problem in the space of forms is studied. A number of the collinear orbits are obtained using suitable parametrization. Properties of such orbits are analyzed.
