This article presents the results of a case-study of children's smart-mobility which appears with the spread of smart wearables. The authors consider the formation of a socio-technical system that regulates behavior of a child in a city. Drawing on the data from three Russian families the authors consider the problems of strengthening the ethics of technological control in relations ‘child–parent’ and the habit of being ‘under surveillance’. The authors analyze new trends in family control and introduce the research ideas about social effects of children's mobility that is controlled with the help of special gadgets.
